PIT-STOP DRESS LINED THERMOCLOAK

A wide aplication product designed for people who spend time outdoors in harsh weather conditions.

It is an insulated and specially treated cloak that can be used as a tent, sleeping bag, poncho, blanket, underlay, gear cover and in many other ways. For example – we often use it as a large cover, using the durable loops and grommets as a connection points for paracord. It’s also great when folded in half and transformed into a sleeping bag, as there are high-quality heavy-duty zippers sewn into all edges of the cloak.

The cloak is made of several layers of different fabrics that retain body heat. It has a moisture-resistant coating with a special chemical layer that does not reflect in IR illumination. It also has two openings (with zippers) through which you can stick your hands out and conveniently operate them - similar to hairdressers' capes.

The Pit-Stop Dress Lined Thermocloak comes with a durable belt for keeping the cape somewhat fixed around the waist if needed.

And a moisture-resistant oversized pouch in which you can quickly stuff the cloak in about ten seconds. 

The entire set weighs only 1500 grams (3.3 pounds), and when packed it is very compact, only 35 x 23 centimeters (13.7 x 9 inches) in size.

The unfolded cloak size is 220 x 110 centimeters (86.6 x 43.3 inches). When used as a sleeping bag, connecting the edges with the sewn-in zipper, its length remains unchanged, but the width becomes 55 centimeters (21.6 inches) wide.

The Pit-Stop Dress Lined Thermocloak also helps to reduce the thermal signature generated by body heat. Therefore, when used correctly, it can temporarily hide the heat source from thermal devices. However, keep in mind that in direct contact with the heat source, the cloak also becomes warm over time! And this place differs from the surrounding environment, therefore is visible in thermal devices. We have conducted tests with very sensitive, high-resolution equipment (pixel size (μm) 12, sNETD (mK) <20) and concluded that the product significantly improves the user's ability to become less noticeable both with the naked eye and in the thermal spectrum.
